Later we are going to Chalma nestled in a beautiful ravine, it is one of the most visited religious centers in Mexico due to the infinity of miracles attributed to the image of the crucified Christ known as "El Señor de Chalma".

"Chalmita" has been considered a miraculous place since the 16th century, and before reaching the temple, it is a tradition that the first time visitors have to wear a wreath of flowers on the head and cool off by the ahuehuete, whose waters are considered miraculous, also they must dance to the rhythm of the folkloric bands. According to the legends of the place, visitors have to be convinced that a miracle will happen, because otherwise they "may get hurt" during the trip.

The Sanctuary includes the church that houses the “Señor of Chalma" (Lord of Chalma), a convent, the cave of the apparition, two hostels for pilgrims and next to the river, the plaza of the dancer and a small open chapel. At 18:00hrs we take the way back to Mexico City.
