Monarch Butterfly and Valle de Bravo Tour in Mexico City

At 06:45 a.m., Pick up at Hotel Barceló Reforma. Later, a departure from Mexico City to our destination. Arrive at Piedra Herrada to visit the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, which travels 5,000 kilometers from Canada every year to spend the winter in Mexico.

To get to the sanctuary we will take a walk through the forest and they will explain to us what the butterflies feed on, how they reproduce, their lifetime, etc. Next, we head towards the Velo de Novia Waterfall, which is an impressive waterfall that is fed by the San Juan stream. It receives this name because the forms that its descent takes give the appearance of a huge white "Bridal Veil".

Then we will visit the Magical Town of Valle de Bravo where we will be able to observe its main tourist attraction, the Valle de Bravo Lake where currently, you can practice water sports and enjoy incredible boat or yacht rides.

It has been part of the valley basin since 1947 when the dam of the same name was created to trap water from the Avándaro River, which now gives its name to the lake and one of the adjacent towns.

Then, visit the Parish of San Francisco de Asís, considered the tallest temple in the State of Mexico and inside which it houses sculptural works from the 17th century. Its construction began in 1880 and was completed more than a century later in 1994. Free time to enjoy the place, as well as to shop for handicrafts.
