Tehuacán, Zapotitlán Salinas and San Juan Raya Leaving from Puebla

Private We depart from Puebla to a city located to the south: Tehuacan. We will admire the magnificent paintings at the City Hall that narrates the city history. You will have the opportunity to visit the Franciscan Convent beautifully conserved and the former Del Carmen Convent, erected in the 17th century. It is of Baroque and Neo-classical inspiration. Today it houses the Mineralogy Museum and the Tehuacan Valley Museum. Our next stop is Zapotitlán Salinas, where Onix handcrafts from Atexcal are masterly handle by artisans. This area is also famous because of dinosaur’s footprint and for the marvelous Turritelas Valley. Our last stop is a visit to the botanical garden, with giant cactus. You will learn the diversity of this exotic prehispanic plants, the “chewing gum tree” and taste some prehispanic gastronomy.  Recommendations: bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, camera, extra money. Cap or hat. In winter and autumn use a jacket or windbreaker.
