Franciscans Convents Route from Puebla

Visit to the 16th Century  San Francisco convent in Tepeaca, “Niño Doctorcito” church (Little Doctor Church),  casa de Cortés (Cortes house). In Tecali, you are going to visit the 16th Convent ruins, but they will transport you mind to the past and your imagination will help you to discover its beauty. In this town, onyx stone workshops are famous.  Actually, the Cathedral´s altar in Puebla was made out of onyx of this region.  You will be able to buy beautiful   onyx and marble crafts. This place is very famous for its production quality. Finally, the Cuahtinchan 16th Century Convent where you can admire mammoths remains and the oldest altarpiece in Mexico.  A unique exhibition outside of this Convent is a mammoth fossil. Recommendations: Sunblock, comfortable shoes, camera, extra money. Cap or hat In winter and autumn use a jacket or windbreaker.
