Culinary Experience Cook Lessons at Oaxaca

Live this experience at Oaxaca full of flavors, smells and tradition with the experts in oaxacan gastronomy. In these lessons, you will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare a delicious oaxacan meal like “mole”, “tamales” or “tlayudas”. Begin this interactive lesson in company of the chef, in the main markets of Oaxaca city, the chef will help you to identify the main ingredients in our list. During the walk through the markets, the chef will give you an explanation about the ingredients and their importance in the oaxacan gastronomy.
After the tour in the market, where we bought the ingredients that will become a succulent dish, we will be ready to go to the kitchen, put on the apron and wait for the chef´s instructions, and start to cook. You will learn how to cook four traditional meals, two of them suggested by the chef, like “Mole” and a soup; the other two can be selected by you; and don’t forget to ask how “tortillas” are made! You will also, learn how to prepare some typical drinks to accompany your food, like, water of chilacayota or a margarita with mezcal. At the end of the class, we will all sit at the table to share and taste the prepared meals.
