Merida, Special Route Puuc ***SUSPENDED***

Just one hour and half from Merida, lies an area of the Mayan civilization known as the Ruta Puuc, which means "hills" or "mounds". We start with a guided visit at the Cave of Loltun (means Flower of Stone). Kabah, where we find a quadrangle called Codz-pop that means rolling backpack, the Arch, the masks of Chac, the Temple of the Columns and the House of the Witch.
Uxmal shows what Puuc art built in parallelepiped shapes of buildings, with smooth walls and ornate friezes. Most of the buildings at Uxmal, belong to the Classic Maya period and some to the Late Middle Phase. Chaac, the Rain God, is represented in multiple buildings: in the Palace of the Governor, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, the Pyramid of the Magician, among others and we will see the show the light and sound.
